My new chair has arrived!! WOO HOO!! It’s so beautiful and is in very good condition considering it is 32 years old, JAN 12 1977 is stamped on the underside. Now the question is do I leave it on the swivel base or attach a rocker base!??? My intention was to use it as my main chair at my desk but now I have seen it for real I’m not sure if I want to use it everyday…..ludicrous I know! Chairs aren’t just for using, they are also for staring at! I do like the softness of the shell against the industrialness of the base though. Being a Libran decisions don’t come easy you know!
I think my chair obsession is getting out of hand! It’s now an addiction! I suppose it could be worse…..at least it’s not crack cocaine! I saw this yellow beauty and my heart skipped a beat and the world went into slow motion! It took me a few days to decide but I just had to have it. My partner David is buying yet another laptop (his addiction is gadgets!) and we are calling them our “Summer presents” LOL! I think it may become an annual occassion but then again there are four seasons in a year of course……..
The chair ( along with the grey rocker and recently purchased Eames coffee table ) was bought from the ever helpful ( and patient!!!) Justin at Pink Flamingos….his shop and ebay listings will be the ruin of me!
I am now counting the minutes till it arrives…
I’m still absolutely loving this green!!! I’ve been staring at walls in our flat (something I do quite a lot!) wondering where I could use it? Well I may just use it on the wall behind my desk in my loft/studio which I have been painting white this past week. I have also been painting the spiral staircase (which is taking forever!) grey to match the vinyl flooring. Pics of the staircase coming soon…
