Well I had a very nice surprise on Christmas Day because David gave me a new camera. I was in shock for about 30 seconds when I opened it and I realised it was the rather excellent 12 megapixel Nikon D90! It will definitely come in handy for when I photograph all of the finished jobs on my 2010 DIY list…

…Happy new year (plus six days) to you all! Well I am on a mission, hopefully not a mission impossible, to finish our flat once and for all! When I say finish I mean complete the unfinished jobs as opposed to getting bored with something and changing it just because I can. We have been living in our flat for nine years this coming July and although we have completely ripped it apart and changed things as we have gone along there are things which are now really winding me (and David) up. I’ve done the majority of the work apart from plastering walls and ceilings which is something I just cannot do and to be perfectly honest I haven’t got the patience to even contemplate. I will be posting before pics in the next few days to give you an idea of how incredibly hideous this place was…it’s a real shocker and there were even walls of wallpaper imbedded with glitter! Just think of an 80’s Dynasty porno palace. I will also be drawing up my 2010 list of things to be done starting with my loft/studio floor which I bought the hardboard for this past Monday morning so that’s one thing I can cross off already!

Not long to go now until the big day! The presents are wrapped, the fridge is bursting with food and Santa is on his way! I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas! Peace and love. Oh by the way that’s my latest new Eames rocker which is the most beautiful olive green and I can’t stop staring at it!

Can you believe that in all the excitement, panic and ups and downs of the last few weeks getting the rental flat finished (pics coming soon!) that I forgot to mention that I have a new Apple iPhone at last! My contract after eighteen long months is finally up for renewal which meant being able to get my hands on the phone of my dreams. It’s my first non-Nokia mobile ( sorry Nokia but you just ain’t cutting it anymore) and it’s amazing. I phone people on it just so that I can experience its sheer beauty and ease of use. As you can see I have already downloaded the myPantone application and I can also control our Sonos music system with it. David has turned me into a gadget hungry freak!
