MMMmmmmmm dreamy cased Holmegaard Gul vases…

I’ve been obsessing and lusting over the Nagel candle holders for a while now and at last I have some. I bought them from a very helpful seller on Evilbay who had just sold thirty five of them for £240! I had shown interest in them and the seller felt guilty that he had sold them all so he offered me some from his own collection, £90 for twelve including postage and packing so I bit his hand off! They really are beautiful and much more delicate in real life, they are a bit like glamorous Meccano! They have grown on David a bit although he thinks that they are dated and ugly. I have my eyes peeled for more because the great thing is is that you can just keep adding to them and change the configuration. I recently posted a pic of a larger collection.

Oh to have an apartment in New York…utter bliss! One day…maybe…possibly…when we win the lottery! This one in Manhattan is gorgeous and I would move in tomorrow. Loving the Krenit bowls on the Eames table, I’ve become completely obsessed with them lately. Such a simple and bold design and I need lots of them!

…Hmmmm I’m undecided about what I’ve done to the hallway!??? I’ve carried the grey paint around the corner from the lounge and I’m not sure if it’s going to be too dark or if I like it. If I decide to stay with it then I will also paint the doors, skirting, door frames, radiator, shelf and the side of the stairs where the metalwork is attached in the same grey.

David is yet to see it because he has been away to Glasgow for 24 hours so I’m not sure what his reaction is going to be! He should be used to it by now because I usually change something in the flat while he is away, I’ve affectionally named it “Secret DIY”. Once it’s done it’s too late for him to disagree…
