Wood
Via Ffffound
…It’s here…at last!!! It was a vision of gorgeousness as the two delivery men carried it towards me.
The wood is much darker and the grain is far richer than the pics on the Evilbay listing which is good because sideboards from the 60’s/70’s can be a bit too orange for my liking. Overall it’s in fantastic condition with only very small marks here and there. David loves it too which can only be a bonus because if he didn’t he would make disparaging comments about it forever more like he does about the Nagel candle holders I bought.
I’m grinning like a Cheshire cat…
Have a great weekend all.
What more can I say apart from that if the Eames Case Study No 8 House was for sale and I had won the lottery then I would snap it up quicker than you could say “Fuck I want that house!”. I very much doubt either will ever happen so I will make do with these gorgeous building blocks by House Industries.
Each set of 36 blocks is made from replenishable Michigan grown basswood and each block represents 29 seperate hand pulled passes using non toxic, lead free, child safe inks. Gorgoeus packaging too!
I don’t think my nieces and nephew would ever get their hands on mine though!
