Happy Friday everyone! It’s nearly the weekend and what better way to kick it off than with a fantastic giveaway! Yes the uber gorgeous Cushlab felt cushion shown above is up for grabs!!! The colour combination is exclusive to obsessilicious and has been made just for this competition.

It has arrived and it’s gorgeous!!! Although I had rushed to London Town to see it in the flesh and sit on it I was still nervous that we had made the right choice. We had been looking for so long for the perfect corner unit at the right price and the perfect colour grey that I had all but given up. Then I came across this beauty at Love your home for less and I was smitten. It really is very comfortable and most importantly (because he hadn’t seen it for real before ordering it) David loves it.The charcoal grey fabric is the most perfect grey and it fits the space perfectly, the pics seem to make it look much smaller but believe me it’s huge and there is plenty of room for us both to stretch out on it. The grey on the walls is a much more perfect match in real life too. We are two very happy customers!

Now we want to change the flooring which was put down by me when we first moved in eight years ago but the upheaval will be monumental! We have discussed the possibility of a polished concrete floor which would look amazing and even though we are living in an apartment our floors are concrete underneath so there wouldn’t be an issue of weight etc.

I have also at last decided how I am going to change the units under the TV because we desperately need more storage space and to hide the ever growing collection of David’s gadgets!!!

I’ve bought an angle grinder! Why would I buy such a dangerous big boys toy you may ask!? Well I finally decided to get rid of the metalwork in the loft! I have never liked it since first seeing it when viewing the flat and it was only a matter of time until I bit the bullet and attacked it. It was far too high and imposing and now the space looks so much bigger. It had to go anyway to make my life easier for putting the new flooring down, unfortunately I’ve realised that the the whole floor has to be covered with hardboard first. I will probably at some point be putting something back because of safety issues, I don’t want to fly off the edge while sat in one of my Eames swivel chairs!!! I have considered glass or very minimal metalwork to match downstairs and eventually the spiral staircase will be replaced with another one but that will have to wait what with a new sofa coming soon…

We have ordered the new Jasper sofa today from the very nice and helpful people at Love your home for less!!! We went to London last week and I travelled across town just to sit on it and it was super comfy and gorgeous!!! The configuration we are having ( there are many to choose from ) is similar to the one above but the chaise part is slightly different and it is overall bigger. The fabric we have chosen is the top one which is a beautiful dark grey and it has a very nice soft texture to it. Five weeks and counting and I can’t wait!!! Impatient??…..me!????
